1. Information about us and how to contact us

1.1 These are the only terms and conditions on which we supply services to you.
1.2 We are The Viking Axe Ltd a company registered in England and Wales. Our company registration number is 11847989 and our registered office is at 8 Charlotte Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 6JB

1.4 If we have to contact you we will do so by telephone or by writing to you at the email address you provided to us at the time of booking.

 

2. Booking confirmation

2.1 A deposit may be requested on booking which is non-refundable. The balance will be payable on the day of participation.
2.2 If you wish to make a change to the booking please contact us. We will let you know if the change is possible but cannot guarantee to accommodate every change.
2.3 It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that they arrive in sufficient time. Late arrivals will only be permitted to undertake the activity at the discretion of the staff and no refunds or compensation will be payable in the event of non-participation.
2.4 There will be times available where The Viking Axe will accept walk-ins however these sessions may be of a reduced length of time and strictly subject to availability.

 

3. Age Restrictions

3.1 The minimum age to participate in axe throwing is 13 years old.
3.2.1 Participants under the age of 18 will be permitted dependant on assessment by the owners.
3.2.2 A participant under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied at all times by a parent / legal guardian.
3.2.3 It is required that any participants under the age of 16 must have their waiver co- signed by their parent / legal guardian.
3.2.4 Dependant on assessment by staff, participants under the age of 18 may be asked to take a 5 to 10 minute break if deemed necessary.

 

4. Health Safety

4.1 The activity comprises of axe throwing which is not without risk. All participants will receive detailed safety training prior to commencing the activity but all participants take part in the activity at their own risk.
4.2 You will be liable for any loss or damage caused by failing to comply with these terms and conditions.
4.3 The Viking Axe reserves the right to refuse admittance without reason or remove a participant from the activity should it be deemed by Viking Axe staff necessary to do so. This includes a participant who does not adhere with the safety rules or is deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs.
4.4 The activity is physically demanding and requires a degree of strength to be able to throw the axe safely.
4.5 The participants have agreed to sign a waiver stipulating that the participant is responsible for their own safety, read the Terms Conditions and will comply with all reasonable and proper instructions provided by the employees of The Viking Axe.
4.6 The Viking Axe will not pay refunds or compensation in the event that a participant is not entitled or able to take part in the activity due to any reason set out in this clause 5.

 

5. Clothing

5.1 It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure that they are dressed appropriately and safely and suggest the following clothing as appropriate for the activity: shoes must be enclosed and no open toe footwear is allowed; long sleeve t-shirts/jumpers; and full length trousers. It is recommended that only the participants head and hands should be exposed.

 

6. Medical restrictions

6.1 It is the responsibility of the participants to inform The Viking Axe if you have or think that you might have any medical condition that would prevent you from being able to throw an axe in a safe way.
6.2 You must notify us if you have any medical conditions that might be of concern and we will advise whether it is appropriate for you to participate in the activity.

 

7. Cancellations

7.1 You shall be entitled to cancel your booking subject to The Viking Axe receiving your cancellation at least 24 hours prior to the starting time. Any requests for cancellation must be made by telephoning 01625 408663 or emailing sales@thevikingaxe.co.uk. You will not be entitled to a refund of your deposit in the event of cancellation under this clause 7.1 for any reason.
7.2 The Viking Axe shall be entitled to cancel your booking at any time. In the event that The Viking Axe cancels your booking it shall notify you as soon as reasonably possible and will be entitled to a refund of your deposit in the event of cancellation under this clause 7.2.

 

8. Price and Payment

8.1 Our price will be at our current rates at the time of booking and the payment will be due in full on arrival on the day of your booking.

 

9. Arrival

9.1 The session when booking in advance is for 60 minutes including a 15 minute safety briefing beforehand. (The 15 minute safety briefing only applies to first time participants at our discretion)
9.2 We adhere to a strict time slot for the sessions so please ensure that you arrive at the facility 15 minutes prior to your booking time.
9.3 If you are a walk-in booking then you will have a 30 minute session included is a 15 minute safety briefing beforehand. (for first visits only)

9.4 If you arrive late for the session then you will restricted to the time that is left of your slot after the 15 minute safety briefing.

 

10. If there is a problem with the service

Alternatively, please speak to one of our staff on site.

 

11. How we may use your personal information

We will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

 

12. Liabilities

12.1 We are not responsible for the loss or damage, to any property or person from the booking or participating in the axe throwing unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions.
12.2 We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the services.

 

13. Other important terms

13.1 This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
13.2 Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
13.3 These terms are governed by English law
